DigitalRehab’s equity crowdfunding campaign kicks off

DigitalRehab was founded in 2021 by a group of researchers, physicians, physiotherapists and entrepreneurs with the aim of offering patients, physiatrists and physiotherapists neuromotor tele-rehabilitation systems with an innovative evidence-based, data-driven experience tailored to the needs of the individual patient. Also supporting the company is a team of international advisors and experts including Giuseppe Recchia, CEO of daVi DigitalMedicine, Roberto Ascione, CEO of Healthware Group and President of Healthware Ventures, and Dino Paladin, Founder and Consultant of AB ANALITICA.

To date, the company has completed the research phase of AuReha, a digital therapy for neuro-motor rehabilitation that allows patients to carry out rehabilitation sessions remotely in immersive virtual environments and through gaming activities, after initial inpatient or outpatient treatment of various neurological and orthopaedic pathologies. The AuReha solution is based on the use of a garment (shirt or trousers) equipped with inertial sensors to monitor patients’ movements during rehabilitation sessions. The data thus collected are analysed by artificial intelligence-based algorithms that provide information on the progress of the rehabilitation intervention and an objective clinical score, indicative of the patient’s actual mobility/motricity.
